2025 FIFPRO World 11 winners revealed

2025 FIFPRO World 11 winners revealed

  • Over 26,000 professional footballers from 68 countries voted for the 2025 FIFPRO World 11 – the only global player award decided exclusively by the players themselves
  • Paris Saint-Germain’s treble-winning stars dominate the FIFPRO Men’s World 11
  • England’s Lucy Bronze sets new record with eighth Women’s World 11 appearance

The 2025 FIFPRO Men’s and Women’s World 11 have been unveiled, following votes from more than 26,000 professional footballers representing 68 countries worldwide.

Five Paris Saint-Germain players – including former goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, now at Manchester City – feature in this year’s Men’s World 11, after the French champions’ remarkable treble-winning campaign.

At just 18 years old, Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal becomes the youngest player ever selected for the Men’s World 11, breaking Kylian Mbappe’s record from 2018, when the French forward made the team aged 19.

England shine in Women’s World 11
England is the most represented nation in the 2025 Women’s World 11, with six Lionesses earning selection – including debutants Hannah Hampton and Chloe Kelly.

Defender Lucy Bronze has made history by claiming a record eighth Women’s World 11 appearance, surpassing France’s Wendie Renard, who has seven.

This year’s team also marks a milestone for African football: for the first time, two African players appear in the Women’s World 11: Barbra Banda (Zambia), making her second appearance, and Ghizlane Chebbak (Morocco), earning her debut.

The only global football award chosen by the players
Since 2005, FIFPRO has invited professional footballers around the world to select the World 11. What sets it apart from the many awards within football is that the winners are determined not by journalists, coaches or fans, but by football’s protagonists: the players.

How did the voting work?
Professional footballers from 68 countries voted via a secure digital platform distributed by FIFPRO and its affiliated player unions.

  • For the Men’s World 11, votes covered performances from 15 July 2024 to 3 August 2025, with players required to have appeared in at least 30 official matches.
  • For the Women’s World 11, votes covered performances from 11 August 2024 to 3 August 2025, with a minimum of 20 official appearances.

Each player selected three standout performers in the four positional categories: goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and forward.

The goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards with the most votes earned selection, while the 11th spot went to the next highest-ranked outfield player overall.
