World Cricketers' Association President Lisa Sthalekar, alongside Board Members Sana Mir and Cecelia Joyce, has been named among cricket's most influential women, recognising their leadership and ongoing work to strengthen players' collective voice across the global game.
Three members of the World Cricketers' Association (WCA) leadership have been recognised in the inaugural cricexec Women's Power 50, celebrating women who are shaping the business and future direction of cricket worldwide.
WCA President Lisa Sthalekar and Board Members Sana Mir and Cecelia Joyce were included in the annual list, recognising their distinguished playing careers and their continued leadership in representing professional cricketers and advancing players' interests across the global game. The recognition reflects the growing influence that current and former athletes continue to have in shaping the future of sport through collective representation and governance.
WCA Chief Executive Officer Tom Moffat welcomed the recognition, highlighting the impact each leader has had both during and after their playing careers. "Each has made a significant contribution to cricket, both throughout their own playing careers, and through their ongoing work on behalf of players globally," he said. Moffat added that their long-term leadership within WCA has helped strengthen the collective voice of players while improving standards, protections and opportunities across professional cricket, ensuring players remain at the heart of the conversations shaping the game's future.
Reflecting on the recognition, WCA President Lisa Sthalekar said that as cricket continues to evolve, stronger collaboration and modern governance are essential to help the sport reach its full potential. "Players have an important role to play in shaping that future, and it's vital they have a genuine voice in the decisions that affect them and our game", she said. Sthalekar also acknowledged her fellow Board Members, describing Sana Mir and Cecelia Joyce as highly deserving of the recognition and expressing pride in WCA's ongoing work to strengthen the collective voice of players worldwide.
